Dirty Projectors, “No Intention”

Attention, friends! Dirty Projectors, responsible for what will probably end up being one of the three best (if not the best) albums of 2009, announced their fall North American tour today and are slated to grace Salt Lake City with their presence on November 7th. Utah has been a concert wasteland for so many years, with nearly every consequential national touring act skipping over SLC on their way to multiple shows in California. However, it seems the tables have finally turned.

With hot indie acts like Dirty Projectors, Passion Pit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Matt & Kim, Arctic Monkeys, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart and many more coming to town throughout the fall, it seems the Beehive State’s day of rock’n'roll salvation may finally be at hand. In celebration of this spectacular news, please enjoy the excellent “No Intention,” off Dirty Projectors’ aforementioned masterpiece, Bitte Orca. With its oriental-sounding guitar arpeggios, subtly infectious melody and persistent hand-claps, this song is musical ecstasy for the modern rock radio-averse population (myself included.) Enjoy.
